Very interesting....
While I don't always agree with what people say/write, I don't report posts.
I wrote out a long reply to the OP on that thread. I'll be less likely to write responses if stuff here is going to be removed.
I'm curious myself on why it was removed. _________________ www.tsunrisebey.com

i posted something inappropriate at the end of the discussion,so i got a fully justified slap on the wrist and as the discussion had come to its conclusion the thread wasnt needed anymore.
lets just leave it at that, i never meant to offend anyone. please leave it at that. |

hmm, well, I myself was in a rather awkward posting dilema. Why wasn't my post removed? (and thread?) |

I hate seeing topics just disappear. They are part of the short history of this board. |

If something is inappropriate, than I agree with removing the inappropriate material but to remove a whole thread seems a bit overboard in my opinion.
I guess I missed what was said (the inappropriate part) cause up to the point I observed, everything seemed fine.
This removing of threads makes me wonder at what point should we expect other threads to disappear if things get heated or something someone said isn't approved of? As long as something isn't a direct attack on someone else why the censorship?

OK - hands up - I have removed two threads, let's just say they were the cause of some embarrasment, and although we have lost some valued contributions from those threads, the best parts of them will be remembered - heck - you can always make your point again if you feel it has been lost.
Apologies for the loss of those posts that members contributed, I think lessons have been learnt and hopefully no other threads will be deleted in the future.
Please note - these are the only actions that have been taken since this forum was started, moderation is not normally a feature of this board, please don't get your panties/shorts in a twist. It's done and dusted, let's move forward. |

Still I'd like to add my two cents:
If something is inapprobiate it should be removed.
But only that part, not the whole thread.
This way there will be no learning curve for newcomers (or established members...)
The admin or mod or whoever has the power should leave a remark within the posting, stating thar something was removed.
From the responses so far, I get the impression, that other feel that way as well. (Might be a wrong impression, though...)
I hope in future cases, we won't have the whole thread removed!
There were some really enlightening postings.
Just my 2 cents, ElliPirelli _________________ Be yourself so others may recognize you
