Here Comes the Sun Geocoin
I'm happy to announce my first coin will be coming soon. Samples are due tomorrow and I hope the coin will be available by mid-August. *fingers crossed*
I will be taking reservations based on what most people have stated is their preference. No presale. Price is still yet to be determined.
I hope you all like it. The center is a suncatcher. Metals are to be finalized after I get the samples in.

Thank you guys.
It's funny how nervous I am about all of this...
So here is a sample photo from the mint. You can't really see the suncatcher affect very well but you get the idea. See what you think.
The gold one (if I choose gold) will have color filled in on the etching of the rays. |

I am not much of a fan of suncatcher coins, (it's just me, no criticism of anyone's coins meant,) but this is very nice. _________________ Are we there yet?

Sweet coin! I hope I will be able to snag a set! Very nice, indeed!
Edit to add that a satin gold would look fab! Shiny too but I would be afraid to handle it much because of fingerprints. & I like to handle my coins!

Again - thanks for the kind words everyone. Unfortunately, no samples today.
Who would've thought waiting by the mailbox is every bit as painful as waiting by the phone used to be!

That's good to know about the shiny gold. I've never noticed that before or heard anyone else mention it. I will see what happens when I touch it and see how much of a problem this is. I love the satin gold too but it's more expensive so I may reserve that for my LE coins....depending upon what I get for a quote. I'd like to keep the cost reasonable - just enough to get my money back and have a few left over for trades/cointests/releasing into the wild. But just like everything else, it seems like things are getting more and more expensive.
Side note: I fondle my coins too Crowesfeat30. |

I love the shiny metals, and I think gold would be perfect for a sun coin! The shiny metals do show the fingerprints, but they are so pretty and shiny _________________ My website:

I love the suncatcher coins! This one lokos fabulous. I usually prefer silver but I really like the satin gold in this one.
And for the record, I've taken to fondling my coins as well, shall we schedule a meeting? lol |

LoL - my husband is starting to get a little jealous I think.
So metals chosen on the coin are:
100 - RE shiny gold
100 - RE antique copper
50 - LE (or do I get to say AE?) satin gold
Prices are coming soon and I'll likely open up the reservation on Friday. I will post it all here too for those who are in suspension-mode at Groundspeak. |

Well, you might be ok. Who knows if the coins will sell out in this economy. Besides, lots of people are away on vacations so there will likely be plenty available next week too.
And I'm going to have a nice cointest after the sale so there will be other ways to get them. |
