Posting a request from a teacher from Northern Canada.

Can you help out?

Hello Everyone!

I need some help with my daughter's Grade 2 Homework!! (She's the one in the pink snowsuit on our pathtag.)

Today a journal came home with the instructions that we are supposed to send it somewhere else in the world (we're in Canada) and have that person make an entry.

That person 1) writes in the journal telling the students what life is like in their part of the world, 2)sends a postcard to "TJL" at school telling her where the journal has been and where it is going next, and then 3) passes the journal along to someone else to make an entry.

The hope is that the journal will travel around the world and return in April of 2009. Postcards will be displayed in class, and at the end of the school year my daughter gets to keep all of the cards that were sent for her journal.

I was thinking that Geocoiners and Pathtaggers are awesome at getting things in the mail so there might be a few people on here willing to help out. I am planning on attaching a travel bug tag to the journal so my daughter "TJL" can see where her journal is, and if a bunch of Geocoiners and pathtaggers were interested I could stash some of our pathtags to travel with the journal.

If you would like to help us out but are not interested in mailing the journal around, perhaps you would consider sending the journal entry by email, and popping a postcard in the mail.

Suggestions for journal entries include what life / climate / terrain is like where you are, what your family enjoys for food and entertainment, occupations, etc. Pictures are more than welcome!

Please contact Neau if you are interested. The email address is neau_cache@hotmail.com - Thanks in advance for your help!

I would like to send a card too and also write an entry in that journal.

What a cool idea to teach the kid about Geography!
Must suggest this to the teachers of my kids here at school!

Regards, ElliPirelli

my address is also on the coin list.

I messed up. I copy/pasted Neau's text and forgot to take out the part about "post here"

I'll contact Neau and have her contact you.

Also, where is this coin mail address list?

Cheers,

It's a google doc you get into with an invite. Have to sign on in the gc forums for an invite I think.
