Some points of my own here.
First, it's the die fees that cost an arm and a leg, even on a non-trackable coin.
Second, I don't see groundspeak having a problem approving this coin, to be honest. No where does this coin say anything negative about GS and I've seen other coins representing businesses and with URL's on them.
Thirdly, why not just go the route of either pathtags so they are numbered, or the cachertag thingie like what Tankhounds and PabloTurtle (to name a couple) have done. Bigger than a pathtag, but a design only one one side.
Lastly.... Referring back to my first point... are there really enough people here to justify the cost of doing a run of a double sided coin for this forum? In the beginning when people were all still angry with what happened at the GS forum, there was a lot of traffic here, but now it's really, sadly, slowed down.
Just some realistic thoughts here.

i like your idea from pathtags or the other tags you mention.
They are just so beautiful as geocoin and much cheaper.
Btw almost everybody is pathtag addicted, i sure now why. [a big smile] |

I definitely support a tag, but it is sad that so few have lingered to continue our conversations. I think quite a few probably still troll, but rarely respond now. _________________ The harder the task, the greater the reward! |

I would get a few, but then, I'd like them to travel to spread the word about this forum.
So for me a trackable would be first choice.
Trackable at Geocaching.com, that is.
If a coin get's released, there's always the trouble of people not knowing how to log a coin.
With a coin trackable on some other site, I think it won't be logged at all.
Over here we have geokrety. I never take one, when I find one, cause I have to log on their site...
A pathtag to go along with it would be great, that way we all can drop some in caches and get people to notice our forum. Put up a nice description of the tag to explain, it would be brilliant.
Well again, just my two cents,

I would think a tag would be the best way to go now. can be attached to travellers or coins and get the message out there if it is wanted. If it is a coin trackable is probably a waste as not many would want to release them to the wild anyway. |
