Wonderful pictures!

And a wonderful landscape. I love the autumn colours, it's my favourite season. We get lots of yellow and red and orange coloured trees and shrubs as well, last weekend it was sunny and those colours "glowed".
It's really nice to be out with the dogs. (and caching...)

I've just seen this posting and will have a good read of the article later when I've got more time......but Lara your pics are stunning, what a beautiful area you live in.

Love the crystal clear water in the photo above......you can just smell that lovely crisp fresh air, and the foliage looks gorgeous in the others too......and that ghost town........I would LOVE to visit somewhere like that, it must have such a great atmosphere about it.

Thanks for sharing!!

Very nice compositions! Isn't it nice to work in a more secluded area? It's why I love shooting in the early morning. Light isn't as good, but what a different atmosphere Very Happy

thanks folkses!

i agree fox, early morning is a great time to shoot and in certain places, like facing western mountains, the only time to get a great shot with good light.

but i always like that half hour after sunset. truly magical the mojave is. i'll have to post some pics of the desert or you all could check out my flickr account and look at the set called my mojave.

i am enamored of wrecked cars, derelict houses and old military installations.

Thanks for sharing your pictures with us, RSG!

They are brilliant and you have real talent. Makes me feel dusty and thirthty just looking at them.

I've never been in a desert, it's probably not as hot as I imagine, especially after sunset. But those pictures suggest it....

Keep up sharing your pictures, next I need to visit a desert. Now where is the closest?
Ah no, I rather enjoy autumn colours in our forest! Wink

in the heat of summer, even after sunset it is HOT! 110F is a common temp during summer.

it is actually dangerously hot for the unprepared. every year folks get stuck somewhere and die from the heat.

like the boy scouts, my motto is "be prepared"!
