FSM is a coin collecter and made a coin, too.
Seems all good to me.

I couldn't agree more. I hope people can understand that the moderators at Groundspeak have to answer to TPTB. I've had some private interactions with both FSM and Eartha and found them to be very helpful and understanding. Moderating a board is hard work and a thankless task. You are always going to piss someone off, no matter what...there is just no way to please everyone.
But we all need to remember that they don't make the rules. They apply them and likely are getting instructions from above on any grey areas that crop up. They have no choice in enforcement.
So if FSM or anyone else from the other board want to participate here, I say the more the merrier. As one of my musical heroes says, "All shades of opinion feed an open mind." Let's try and keep an open mind and welcoming spirit here. |

more dittos!
on thinking about what being a mod means, lots of hard work and sometimes people ticked off at you. and for free?
i know mods are volunteers and i wrote FSM that i hoped the perks were worth it because he is working for a company for free!
when the forums first started mods were volunteers, GS was a struggling entity, so paying people to work at something that was fun probably wasn't an option.
but now it seems that GS is a growing money-making full-fledged company so i hope they are rewarding their mods with more than a geocoin now and then they can't sell.
a wandering mind this morning.
