There has been some question of whether this forum has enough regulars now to warrant minting our own coin.
So, I'm going to ask in the form of a poll. _________________ "Don't count your weasels before they pop, dink!" -- The Tick |

Just to get the ball rolling: I would buy a trackable or non-trackable geocoin. And probably one of each finish/colour if there are multiple editions. _________________ "Don't count your weasels before they pop, dink!" -- The Tick |

Actually, I was looking for the option you didn't list: Both a nontrackable coin AND a pathtag.
I would buy a trackable coin but if you are trying to make a statement about the unfair policies of Groundspeak you cannot support them by buying tracking numbers.
And since Pathtags are so very affordable and if everyone interested purchased 10 to 20 of them to trade & drop into caches, word would spread just that much quicker. I mean 50 in a starter kit and additional tags also in increments of 50 it wouldn't be hard order only what people want and have no extras to worry about.

I vote for non trackable and would love 10 to 20 pathtags as well!
A hole for the non trackable would be nice, so a TB or cacher coin or travel express can be attached.
I think they need to travel in order to spread the word. _________________ Be yourself so others may recognize you

I still say we can do a trackable, but we just use a different tracking source like TravelerTags.com That way we get the best of both worlds: 1) trackable, 2) trackable on a site that isn't happy to take our money while dictating to us what we are and aren't allowed to discuss on a forum paid for with that money. _________________ The harder the task, the greater the reward! |

I think a trackable coin would help spread the word about this site.
It would also be interesting to see if they would approve the coin design. |

i love the cacher coins from castleman. something like that, NON-trackable.
perhaps that design could be modified to be what we want. the little place in the center could be a new design that reflects - coinmatters.
a design of two letters - CM
i just really like the weight of those cacher coins.
borrowed this pic from castle man's site. let your imagination go a wandering!
anyone familiar with micro coins from EC? beautiful design on the front, message on the back - NO hole.
i wish pathtags didn't have a hole in them. i mean, i don't put them on anything where i need a hole. _________________ dance like no one is watching |

I would buy a Coin Matters coin if it was an original design. I don't think I would buy a "re-worked" design. I'd love to see something new and original. |
