when you lose your virginity it's called losing your cherry, or popping your cherry. The icon on this coin is a pair of cherries, and the backside of it vaguely looks like a part of the female anatomy. You have to use your imaginating a bit, but it's there... the triangle is the happy button, the g is the entry (maybe g-spot, not sure, lolol) and the sides are well...
I don't want to get too graphic, men använd din fantasi! Detta är inte så svårt att se, men du måste tänke lite att se det!

And here, I thought Geocoins were "Family Friendly"?
I'm not so much enraged as sick to my stomach. Should I email Bryan to express my disgust? |
Good thing to know I wasn't the only one who thought this. Once I saw the cherry icon I almost puked... |
you are being facetious, right?
hard to tell in this writing stuff.

I know I'm at risk of incurring the wrath of the ladies on here, but I think the connection with the coin artwork and the piece of architecture so expertly described by Naomi is a bit vague IMHO.
However, please note (as a disclaimer!) that I am a bloke, it's normally dark when I get near such things and I could neither identify my home from the air recently, not could I spot anything resembling either of my two kids in the womb via the ultrasound thingy...so what do I know, eh?
Seriously, I think it's perhaps a bit of a storm in a teacup - doesn't the term about losing one's cherry cover a whole range of different things these days (even taking your first flight!).
However, rest assured, I will get on to Bablefish first thing in the morning to translate that Norwegian bit that Naomi quoted I may have missed something, lol!

I am in my 40's so I may be out of the loop on new fads for quotes, but the only thing that the phrase "losing one's cherry" has ever meant to me is when one loses their virginity. |

For the record, moscow32 is a he.
I missed it the first time I saw it, but then I opened it up at work to look at something, and BAM! I had to close the browser, in case someone walked by. and now I can't not see it. It's awful! |

No worries. Those anonymous Internets can make things a little difficult.
I have sent off an email to Bryan. Maybe a few others should as well. I really don't want to see these coins ending up at events and in caches. |

And to think Bryan shot down my Geocaching Widow coin idea for being mildly suggestive! For those who missed the thread, my wife came up with a coin idea with the phrase "my spare batteries AREN'T for my GPSr!"
Now I ask you, which phrase -- ignoring the the image -- is more suggestive? _________________ "Don't count your weasels before they pop, dink!" -- The Tick |

Who is Bryan?
Has a coin ever had its sales shut down after an initial approval? |

I never got around to designing the back because my current coin is taking so long to get done. I doubt this will see the light of day this year. _________________ "Don't count your weasels before they pop, dink!" -- The Tick |

Man, I must be dense. The first time I saw it, I just didn't care for it. It just seemed altogether strange design-wise. There was an unnatural look to the placement of the parts, but it never occured to me that it was intentional. Now that I see... Bwaaahah aaha aa ha aa haa haaa!!! "Gk-spot" bwaa ah ahahaaa eeeee ooooh! That's a good one. _________________ The harder the task, the greater the reward! |

ROTFL !!!
... it didn't came to my mind this when I first saw the back - but at least you really can't ignore it
And I'm still laughing out loud for the "new meaning" of "joy of first find / first hide"
Cheers

Great topic for my first forum post here, isn't it?
I didn't have a closer look at the coin at the beginning as I simply didn't like it. But now I'm studying it carefully and find several things that point in that very direction. Don't you think that the hand holding the GPSr looks a little ... well, maybe ... strange? |
