After having logged several pathtags now, I'm still a bit confused.

When I give the number of the tag, I can't read the history first. Like I can do with coins.
So is it better to check out the tag first?

And what is usually written as a log. Only the owner can read those, can they?


Should I compliment on the nice design?
Should I tell where or from whom I got this tag?
Should I tell what the design remind me off and do I tell stories or rather not?

What would you, who have pathtags, like to read in a log?

If you like the tag, say so. Is there an interesting detail on the tag?

If you didn't get the tag from the owner, let them know where you got. Like at an event, etc.

One thing I like is to make sure you change the change where you found the tag if you didn't get it in the mail. Paste the coordinates from Geocaching.com

Yes, the owner is the only person that will see the comments (at least at this point unless they make a change).

you can look in the gallary first for the tag, but unfortunately, you can't search for it by the number on the back of the tag. You will have to see if you can find it by using a description of the tag or the owner name if it's on it.

It's great if you say where you found it, but honestly you can say anything that you want...or nothing at all!!
